= ABOUT ME =

hi! i'm ness...my posts are most often beautiful (in my belief) passages from many and different enlightened and wise people who were able to jot down in simple text their ideas and idealisms. since i am not and was never really talented in writing or expressing my innermost, valued beliefs, ideas and values, i will let these passages be the more appropriate and able conveyers. besides, it was through these writers and their pieces from which i learned and formed my own values. so as i present to you these writers and their creations, i am also presenting to you a part of me..get to know me through them..

What's your peanut butter? Pick Your Pleasures Intelligently

What's your peanut butter? Pick Your Pleasures Intelligently

I love peanut butter.
I eat it solo, slurping it with a spoon.
I know, i'm crazy.
I've got two or three bottles in the fridge
- just to make sure i don't suddenly run out.
My crazy love affair with peanut butter
began as a kid.
Days before Christmas, I'd write a note to Santa,
asking for my very own bottle of peanut
butter. Naturally, my parents were ecstatic.
While other kids were asking for remote control
cars ans elaborate train sets, I was asking for
a grocery item.
Yep, I'm hopelessly addicted.
I've already psychoanalyzed myself,
delved deep into my subconscious and relived
my childhood memories. And after years of
inner processing, I've finally discovered why I
live peanut butter...
It's delicious.
Okay, that's not a very bright answer.
But i actually like my addiction.
i refuse to get treatment.
First, it's legal.
I don't have to go to dark alleys to get my fix.
In fact, i can sniff, scoop and slurp my peanut
butter in front of a squadron of policemen-
and they can only stare.
Second, no one gets hurt.
Including myself. I've been buying the one
made from organically grown peanuts, with low
or no sugar, and less saturated fat. (i'm also
addicted to health.)
Third, it's simple.
While others get their high from buying a
new car- i get mine by sitting at home
eating peanut butter.
I've learned that we can pick our pleasures.
The easier and more attainable they are,
the happier you will be.

What's your peanut butter?
